APT Professional Grade Dip Belt Review
This is a solid overall dip belt. It features a strong leather belt, good craftsmanship, and a thick and sturdy chain that is long enough to add serious weight to your workouts. You don’t have to worry about quality or shoddy workmanship with this belt.
The rear back piece is made of natural leather that is thick and sturdy but still supple. The backing is also padded which makes this dipping belt comfortable to wear even with heavy plates added. The stitching and rivets connecting everything together are also heavy duty so this belt is very durable and will last a long time. Plus some like the look of the belt because it gives the old school gym equipment look.
The chain is definitely longer than the budget dip belts that you’re going to find but it isn’t the longest either. For almost all serious lifters, this belt will be enough to add on as much weight as you can. The only exception will be if you have a big waist line. Of course, if you’re a bigger trainer, few belts are going to give you enough room to add a lot of plates and you may have to modify your dip belt by adding your own chain that’s long enough. The only real complaint with this belt is that there isn’t a quick release option with the chain. With the APT belt, you unhook the chain by unscrewing the end connected to the belt which can be a hassle. However, this is easy enough to fix by just attaching a carabiner to the end of the chain (you can find these cheap online or anywhere rock climbing equipment is sold). Overall this is a truly solid piece of equipment that will be a great addition to your workouts.
